The Lady Lakers were blanked 2-0 against the defending OUA champion Ottawa Gee-Gees in Sunday soccer action.

The Gee-Gees capitalized on a turn over in the midfield as Amanda Robinson notched in the first goal at the ten minute mark. Renee Jacques added the only other goal of the game off of a free kick at the 22 minute mark. The Gee-Gees controlled most of the possession in the first half and managed five shots on goal.

The Lakers provided a much better effort in the second half creating several quality scoring chances however they couldn't put it past the keeper.

The team will now re-group as they prepare to hit the road for a pair of games next weekend.
