Junior Girls Hoops - Trojans hammer Wildcats

The Lady Trojans junior squad visited the Wildcats den last night and left with a convincing 45-21 win. The Lady Trojans jumped out to a 14-2 lead and led 24-7 at half time.

The Lady Trojans jumped out to a 14-2 lead and led 24-7 at half time. The Wildcats came back strong in the third quarter and were only outscored by one basket, 11-9 in the third.

The Trojans won the final frame and walked off with the victory. A well rounded attack led to the Trojan win with 7 of 9 players contributing to the scoring. Leading scorer and game MVP was Mackenzie Joyes with 14 pts. followed by Aaron Paibomsai with 11 of her own.

Top scorers for the Widdifield team were Caitlyn Davison with 7 pts and the Wildcat MVP, Lisa Bahm who scored 5 pts including a 3 pointer in the fourth quarter.

Next week the Trojans play Franco Cite at West Ferris Seniors at 4:30 p.m. and Juniors at 6 p.m. The Wildcats next see action on Tuesday when they host the Algonquin Barons.
