Jr. Trojans dumped by Sudbury tourney champs

The Jr Trojans competed in the St. Bishop Alexander basketball tournament in Sudbury where they opened with a 46-40 win over Lo-Ellen. Morgan Brown scored 16 points while Josh Cowden and Cole Addley added 10 points each.

The Jr Trojans competed in the St. Bishop Alexander basketball tournament in Sudbury where they opened with a 46-40 win over Lo-Ellen. Morgan Brown scored 16 points while Josh Cowden and Cole Addley added 10 points each.

In their second contest the young Trojans broke away from the Confederation Chargers with a 21-5 third quarter scoring spree to lead them to a 65-42 win over the Chargers. Morgan Brown led all scorers with 21 points while Cole Addley added 15 points and Martin Conville scored 12 points.

On Saturday, the Jr. Trojans were defeated by the skilled and experienced LaSalle Lancers by a score of 65-40. Morgan Brown continued his strong play by scoring 18 points while Cole Addley added 12 points in a losing cause.

The team enjoyed the opportunity to play the eventual tournament champions that dominated all competing teams.
