Tristan Jones - obtained from the Alouettes by the Royals at the January 10 trading deadline - earned his first win in goal for the Royals as they downed his former team 7-4 in Sturgeon Falls Friday night. Jones played a solid game in goal making 28 saves.

The Royals Tim Revell and Cedric Boutin each had a three point night, with two goals and one assist each. Other Royals goals scorers were Brandon Blanche, Cory Marquardt and Chris Fraser.

Sebastien Poirier had three assists while Guillaume Brisebois picked up a pair of assists.

The Alouettes four goals all came via the power play. Eric Belanger, Corey Clairmont, Cody Tourigny and Paul Traynor had one goal apiece.

Riley Nadon took the loss in goal for the Als.

The shots were 38-32 in favor of the Royals.
