Ice Boltz win Silver Stick

This past weekend the North Bay Ice Boltz Peewee C girls competed in the Silver Stick tournament in Pembroke. In the round robin they had a win 3-2 against South Dundas and a loss 1-0 against the Ottawa Ice placing them fourth out of seven teams.


This past weekend the North Bay Ice Boltz Peewee C girls competed in the Silver Stick tournament in Pembroke. In the round robin they had a win 3-2 against South Dundas and a loss 1-0 against the Ottawa Ice placing them fourth out of seven teams. Rachele Mancini had a goal and assist while Presley Young had the other goal and Erin Hebert the assist. In the quarterfinals they faced the Ottawa ice again and this time came up with the win 2-1. Paige Bailey and Erin Hebert had the two goals, with assists from Sarah Chenier and Brooke Mathias. In the Semis they defeated the Cornwall Typhoons 3-2 with goals from Erin Hebert, Sarah Chenier and Rachele Mancini and an assist from Paige Bailey. In the finals they faced the South Dundas team again. This nail biter went to overtime with the Ice Boltz coming out on top at 4:08 in overtime to take the championship game 4-3. All four goals in the final game came from Rachele Mancini with assists from Allie Seamont, Erin Hebert, Carla White and Paige Bailey. This win means the North Bay team has qualified to represent this region in the International Silver Stick Tournament in Sarnia in February.
