The North Bay Trappers once again took another home game into overtime last night against the Timmins Majors in their first game of the playoffs. Tyler Hummel netted the game winning goal with 3:22 left in the second overtime to give the Trappers the 6-5 victory.

Jordan Scott opened the scoring in the first with two quick goals.

The Trappers started the game with intense emotion that carried them through the two overtimes, with only a slight relapse in momentum coming middway through the game.

"(We) came out with raw, beat 'em up, our style of hockey. Dump 'em and hit," Head Coach John Couch said of the Trappers play in the first period of play Saturday night.

Other goal scorers for the Trappers include Josh McCully, Nick Huard, and Joel Senecal.

Catch game 2 of the Trappers playoff series against the Timmins Majors at 1:20 tomorrow afternoon at West Ferris arena.
