New Haven, Connecticut - Yale held its annual women's hockey team banquet Wednesday night at The Course at Yale, saluting both members of the senior class with awards. Yale Captain and North Bay native Ann-Renée Guillemette won the Bingham Award, given to a player who provides outstanding team leadership. Goalie Shivon Zilis (Markham, Ont.) won the Most Valuable Player Award.

Guillemette, a defenseman, appeared in 111 games for her career, making her the most experienced player on Yale's roster. Yale's 31st captain, she and Zilis helped the Bulldogs to 53 wins in their four seasons in the Elm City, the second-most by a class in Yale history.

Guillemette was also among 16 players who were named recently to the ECAC All-Academic team.
