Gonzaga Bulldogs claim OFSAA hockey title

Kyle Morrison and Jordan Scaglione scored goals less than 2 minutes apart in the first period and Shawn Johnston stopped every shot he had to face as the St. Aloysius Gonzaga Bulldogs from Mississauga defeated St. Marcellinus Spirit 3-0 in the Gold Medal game at the OFSAA 'AAA/AAAA' hockey tournament in North Bay.

Paul Sergi scored an insurance marker in the third period for the 11th seeded Bulldogs who lost in the Peel Region 'AAAA' final to the 5th seeded Spirit.

#1 seed doesn't get "Upper" hand

In the bronze medal game, the #1 seeded St. Mary Monarchs from Pickering went home without a medal as they were beaten 4-1 by the Upper Canada College Blues from Toronto on Saturday afternoon.
