Former Skyhawks Michael Lalande and Quinn Waller were crowned National Junior Hockey champions on Sunday as the Aurora Tigers defeated the host Prince George Spruce Kings 3-1 to capture the 2007 Royal Bank Cup.

Waller, who requested a trade and was dealt to the Aurora Tigers in the off-season, scored 1 goal and added 4 assists during the round robin event.

Former Skyhawks goalie and North Bay native Michael Lalande, who was traded to the Tigers shortly after Christmas, didn't play during the championship.

Lalande did get some action recently for the Tigers as he was in goal for a 6-3 win over the Schreiber Diesels during play last month at the Dudley-Hewitt Cup in Iroquois Falls.
