Eurocamp Hockey Spring /Summer program ran by former European Pro coach Randy Edmonds says he will see a lot of familiar faces get drafted in Vancouver at the 2019 NHL Draft.

"Last summer we had Barrett Haydon go 5th overall to Arizona which was fun and Sudbury product Damien Giroux (Saginaw OHL) go to Minnesota in the 5th round," said Edmonds, who started North Bay's first spring hockey teams.

"We will have three first round picks this Friday night which is quite amazing," he said.

"When we first started North Bay was a AA centre and spring and summer hockey was something new for the most part .We started at Novice and played a few tourneys each spring and became one of the top programs each spring . We faced Jack Hughes and their stacked team each spring as well and won our fare share of games against them."

Edmonds notes that Hughes is expected to go number one overall Friday night in Vancouver.

"This Friday night we expect to see Philip Broberg (Skelleftea, Sweden), ranked 11 by Craig Button and TSN , Victor Soderstrom (Brynas, Sweden) ranked 20th and Philip Tominsino (Niagara OHL) ranked 38th by Craig Button and much higher by others.  I also coached Phil three seasons with Mississauga Rebels and won a All Ontario Championship in Bantam," noted Edmonds, who also coached local OHLers Brady Lyle and Zac Roy in spring hockey.

Other Eurocamp players listed to be drafted are former Mississauga Rebel Case McCarthy (USA U18 program) ranked 86 and Billy Constantiou (Kingston OHL) ranked 58 and Randy's son, Lucas Edmonds ranked 118 in Europe along with goaltender Jet Greaves (Barrie OHL), ranked 28 among North American goaltenders.

"Some will get drafted some won't and some next season and there may be some suprises along the way all in all I will be there to to celebrate with the families in Vancouver."
