Eskis finish off Royals

IROQUOIS FALLS, ON - Jim Murray stopped 55 shots in his final game of junior hockey but it wasn't enough as the short staffed Temiscaming Royals were defeated 4-1 by the Abitibi Eskimos.
IROQUOIS FALLS, ON - Jim Murray stopped 55 shots in his final game of junior hockey but it wasn't enough as the short staffed Temiscaming Royals were defeated 4-1 by the Abitibi Eskimos. The win clinches the NOJHL opening round series for the Eskis, winning the seven game series 4 games to 1.

Marc-Alain Begin paced the Eskis with 2 goals. Olivier Morin and Michael Robert had the other goals for the Eskis who will move on to meet the Sudbury Jr. Wolves in the NOJHL Eastern Conference final.

Ben Bruha scored the only goal for the Royals who, after pulling out a 3-2 overtime win over the Eskis in game 2, were outscored 25-4 in the final 3 games of the series.
