The North Bay Skyhawks fought back from a 3-1 deficit to force overtime - but ended up losing 4-3 in the shootout to the Soo Eagles at the Pullar Stadium Thursday night in the Skyhawks opening game of the NOJHL's New Directions Showcase Tournament taking place this weekend in the Twin Soo's.
Adam Phillips scored the deciding goal in the shootout on Jeff Michael.
Brad Hummel scored twice, while Nick Laporte scored the equalizer just past the midway point of the 3rd period.
