TEMISCAMING, QC. - Brian Depp scored twice including the game winner with less than 4 minutes to play to lead the Soo Eagles to a 5-3 win over the Temiscaming Royals on Friday night at the Centre.

The Royals started out well scoring 2 goals in less than a minute around the 14 minute mark of the opening period but after that the club lost its jump and allowed the Eagles to carry the play.

Shane Golden had two goals for the Royals and Robin Mendelsohn had the other. Stephan Gunner added a pair of assists.

Newcomer Erwin Bosum made 26 saves in his debut for the Royals.

Ryan Axsom, Jimmy Morris and Jacob Johnston had the other goals for the Eagles who travel to Iroquois Falls on Saturday to face the Eskimos and finish off their three games in three days with a visit to North Bay to take on the Jr. Trappers on Sunday night at Memorial Gardens.
