Rob Einersen and RJ Kleiman had 2 goals each to lead the Soo Eagles to a convincing 7-2 victory over the struggling Temiscaming Royals at the Centre on Thursday night.

It was an uninspired effort by the Royals who came out strong early in the first period outshooting the visiting Eagles 7-1.

NHL draft prospect Adam Phillips had 1 goal and 2 assists for the Eagles.

Stephan Gunner and Cedric Boutin scored for the Royals as they suffer their 10th straight loss.

Sean LaDouce made 34 saves in the win while Guillaume Piche turned aside 43 shots in the loss.

More than 20 penalties were handed out in the first ever NOJHL game in Quebec officiated by a crew of Ontario officials.
