Dragons snowed in by Avalanche

POWASSAN, ON. - The Powassan Dragons continue their early season struggles as they dropped to 1-9 after a 2-1 defeat at the hands of the expansion Algoma Avalanche Friday night at the Powassan Sportsplex.

Former West Ferris Trojans speedster Stephan Devost had the only goal for the Dragons.

Mark Orazietti and Adam Delayer scored for the Avalanche (6-4).

The Dragons continue their busy weekend with a trip to Toronto to play the Moose Saturday night and then return to Powassan to host the Elliot Lake Bobcats. Game time is 3:30 p.m. at the Powassan Sportsplex.
