CT33 Thunderbirds Win High Point Trophy at Titans Meet

Josh Brost and Zeyana Laplante won the high points trophy in their age category and Gabriel Brind’Amour Riffou won gold in the gruelling Ironman (consisting of the 1500M Free, 800M Free, 400M Free, 400 IM and 200M Fly).

Zeyana Laplante achieved her first provincial time in 100 Back for the 10 and under category and will be attending the Junior Provincials in Nepean with fellow teammates from July 1st to 4th, 2010.

Medals went to Sean Pulyk who won a gold and two silvers; Jamee Reynolds won a silver and bronze; Jacob Brost and Talia Preston each won bronze.

Tessa Steel and Monika Hotson swam the Ironman and won silver and bronze in their age group, respectively.

Top Eight finishes went to Travis Allured, Camelia Brind’Amour Riffou, Karyn Busch, Cameron Cole, Elle Louise George, Zaffia Laplante, Evan Lechlitner and Madison Whittet.

Up and coming swimmers achieving many personal best times were Sarah Allured, Alexa Brind’Amour Riffou, Jenna Manning, Emily Redhead and Kaitlyn Sage.

Four of our swimmers, Jen Piper, Josh Brost, Jesse Hives, and Jaime Lee Udeschini will also be competing at the Age Group International meet this week at the Etobicoke Olympium pool.

The last swim meet of the year for most swimmers will be in Sudbury the middle of June at the Jeno Tihanyi Long Course Champs.
