BRACEBRIDGE, ON. - The Century 21 United Under 15 Boys Selects defended their championship as they returned to win the Bracebridge Early Bird Soccer Tournament this passed weekend. Anthony Celebre dominated the team offense by scoring an astounding five goals out of the team’s seven. Century 21 finished on top of the division as they defeated Barrie Spirit in their first match with a 2-1 victory. Celebre was unstoppable as he began his scoring rampage with the two North Bay goals. The team met the Walden Flyers next and they dominated play with a 3-0 result. Michael Carr scored for Century 21 while Celebre added two more. Kitchener provided the next competition for the local team to finish the round of play. A closely fought match saw Century 21 finish ahead of Kitchener with a 1 -0 win. Nick Piquette provided the winning goal with a well placed penalty kick. Century 21’s perfect record put them in first place to meet Barrie in the championship finals.

Coach Piquette was pleased with the team’s ability to distribute the ball wide resulting in Barrie having to spread their defense. Celebre scored the winning goal to give North Bay a 1-0 win to retain the championship title. Mitch Forte recorded the three shutouts while allowing only one goal all weekend.
