Members of the North Bay Canoe Club brought home 22 gold medals this weekend after competing at the National Aboriginal Regatta in Montreal.


Members of the North Bay Canoe Club brought home 22 gold medals this weekend after competing at the National Aboriginal Regatta in Montreal.

The competition featured athletes from British Columbia, Ontario, Quebec and the Maritimes but it was a group of North Bay area athletes that dominated the marathon and sprint racing events.

Leading the way was Jaydan Jackson, Ben Robtaille and Dylan Jackson with 6 golds medals each while Zaffia & Zeyana Laplante chipped in with a couple of golds apiece.

The club is coming off one of its best seasons and is looking forward to many more great results next year.
