Canadore Panthers split doubleheader against Seneca

The Canadore Lady Panthers and Seneca Sting of Toronto split a doubleheader Tuesday in Ontario Colleges Athletic Association women’s fastball at Kelly Field.

The Panthers won the first game 4-2 and the Sting scored three runs in the bottom of the seventh to win the second game 8-7.

The Panthers took the season series between the two teams, however, by a combined score of 11-10.

Leigh Ann Taylor pitched both games for the Panthers and gave up seven hits in total.

Taylor also collected three hits in the two games, as did Chantal Pelletier.

Lynsey Snowball, Joanne Come, Mallory Parent and Emily Peterson had two hits apiece. Amanda Brousseau had a single.

The Panthers, now 3-6 on the season, are in Sudbury Thursday to play Cambrian College Golden Shield, starting at 6 p.m.
