Canadian Tire bulls win gold in Ottawa

OTTAWA - The Canadian Tire Peewee Bulls stampeded into the nation’s capital on the weekend to win gold in the 5th annual Bell Sensplex tournament.
OTTAWA - The Canadian Tire Peewee Bulls stampeded into the nation’s capital on the weekend to win gold in the 5th annual Bell Sensplex tournament.

The Bulls went undefeated in round robin play with wins over Kanata Grizzlies, Leitrim Hawks and the Rockland Nats to earn a pass to the semi-finals. They awaited the winner of the quarter-finals. That team would end up being Kitchener RNO. In the semi’s, the Bulls were down 2-0 early against Kitchener but rallied to tie the game and with a great goal in overtime, Bulls took the win. The Finals were set with Canadian Tire Bulls vs the Ottawa Centre Ice Dogs. The only 2 undefeated teams in the 16 team division. Both teams would trade goals to a 4-4 tie in a high energy and nail biting game. With an exciting overtime goal scored by the Bulls with 1:04 left in overtime brought the crowd to its feet and the Bulls captured the championship 5-4. The win was a total team effort and capped off a memorable weekend.
