The Bulldogs may not have a game this weekend but that didn’t stop them from unveiling their new look to the public at a press conference inside Memorial Gardens on Thursday night.

The team worked in cooperation with Promo Sports Depot to create the new look using the same color scheme.

“The major changes include our away jerseys to be yellow jerseys with black numbers instead of white jerseys with yellow numbers largely for the benefit of our fans and the media as they told us it was very hard to identify players with yellow numbers on white,” Bulldogs head coach Marc Mathon said about the new uniforms which will include a change from yellow to black pants.

“All uniforms have a lifespan and our other ones were reaching the end of their useful life, we were repairing them on a weekly basis,” he added.

Linebacker Josh Ricker was one of the uniform models at the press conference.

“They look awesome,” said Linebacker Josh Ricker wearing a black version of the new home jersey.

“I think it’s going to help with our morale, maybe play better as we are starting off 0-2 right now and hopefully we are going to play a lot better. This is the third jersey I’ve worn since I’ve played with the team and it’s probably the best looking and Promo Sports did an awesome with both the black and gold uniforms.”

Promo Sports Depot salesman Mike Brideau is also thrilled with the new look.

“I think they are a lot more visible than the old jerseys,” said Brideau.

Bulldogs merchandise including hats, T-shirts, polo shirts, hoodies and jackets can be purchased at the Promo Sports Depot location on McIntyre.
