Bulldogs get a victory off the field?

An administrative issue, not a victory on the field, may allow the Bulldogs to get into the NFC playoffs even if they don't win their regular season finale against the Oakville Longhorns next Saturday night at Rollie Fischer Field.
An administrative issue, not a victory on the field, may allow the Bulldogs to get into the NFC playoffs even if they don't win their regular season finale against the Oakville Longhorns next Saturday night at Rollie Fischer Field.

The 1-5 Bulldogs fell 28-21 in a must win contest Saturday night against the unbeaten Triy-City Outlaws leaving them in 9th place in the 10-team league with the top 8 teams making the playoffs starting on August 2nd.

Bulldogs head coach Marc Mathon said the league has a rule whereby teams must meet a number of administrative and financial obligations by July 16th in order to qualify for the playoffs.

"We learned last night that the Toronto Raiders did not meet some of those obligations so subject to a league Executive meeting that addressed the issue, it appears that the Toronto Raiders will be one of the 2 teams not making it to the playoffs. The other team will likely be Kingston which if this takes place, will place the Bulldogs in the final playoff spot," Mathon said in a press release sent out to the media Sunday morning.

Ironically the last place Kingston Privateers and the Toronto Raiders will clash in the final week of the season.
