The North Bay Varsity Bulldogs were unable to defend their OPFL title, as they were beaten 23-15 by the York Lions in the Regional Rep Varsity League championship game at Western University on Sunday.

The Lions built up a 16-0 lead at halftime and had a 23-0 lead early in the fourth quarter.  Bulldogs receiver James Piper had a pair of late touchdown receptions to help the Bulldogs get back in the game late.

The Bulldogs got to the final thanks to a 42-0 blowout win over the Toronto Jets in the semi-final.
