Boyd’s News and Lotto Bombers capped off a great season by defeating a strong Powassan Hawks squad by a score of 4 to 3. The championship series which was a best of three format ended in a thrilling overtime win in the second game. The Powassan Hawks maintained the lead for the entire game until the Bombers tied it up with 54 seconds remaining forcing overtime. The Bombers continued their gritty play and were rewarded the victory 30 seconds into overtime. The Bombers advanced to the finals by defeating East-Nipissing Vipers in the semi-finals two games to one.
