Blades take one of three from Sudbury

The North Bay Hilltop Variety Bantam AAA Blades won one game during a three-game weekend series against the Sudbury Wolves at West Ferris arena.
The North Bay Hilltop Variety Bantam AAA Blades won one game during a three-game weekend series against the Sudbury Wolves at West Ferris arena.

In their first game on Saturday the Blades scored four times in the first period and held on for a 5-3 win.

Cody Levasseur, Tyler Field, Ryan Scott, Caleb Cameron and Michel Bedard scored in the victory.

In that game the Blades lost leading scorer Brad Prescott with a broken wrist.

On Sunday, the Wolves rebounded with a 3-1 win over the Blades. Cody Levasseur scored the lone Blades goal.

In the rubber match the Blades let a 4-1 lead get away as the Wolves pulled out a 5-4 win. The Wolves scored the game winner with only 9 seconds left on the clock in the third period.
