Blades find win column in Timmins

TIMMINS, ON – The North Bay Bantam AAA Hilltop Variety Blades picked up one win in three games here over the weekend. In Saturday’s matinee Timmins edged the Blades 4-3 on goals from Troy Columbus, Austin Landry, Nic Brousseau and Austin Boulard.

In Saturday’s matinee Timmins edged the Blades 4-3 on goals from Troy Columbus, Austin Landry, Nic Brousseau and Austin Boulard. The Blades countered with goals from Tyler Peters, Tyler Kennedy and Ryan Wilkinson.

In Saturday’s second game Timmins scored six times in the first 8:13 and held on for a 9-5 win. Goal scorers for Timmins included Boulard(2), Jamie Schnedier(2), Brousseau, Landry, Kent Hardy, Nic Malette and Nic Sergerie. Blades goals came off the sticks of Jake Staples(2), Peters, Jamie Restoule and Steven Leveque.

The Blades pulled off a victory on Sunday outscoring the Eagles 4-2. Scoring for the Blades were Kennedy, Leveque, Wilkinson and Cole Filiatrault. Anthony Scappatura picked up the win in net. Timmins got goals from Landry and Boulard.

The Blades resume play when they travel to Kitchener-Waterloo December 11th to 13th to compete in the Gold Puck Tournament.
