The North Bay Hilltop Variety Blades dropped a 5-3 decision to the Onaping Falls Huskies to start the Northern Ontario Bantam AAA Hockey League's showcase tournament which is taking place in Sudbury this weekend.
Jamie Sneddon, Jamie Olivier and Chris Hebert scored for the Blades in the loss.
The Blades next contest is Friday night as they take on the Sault Ste. Marie Thunder.
