Bears shorthanded goals sink Wildcats

Jamie Olivier and Graham Loyst scored shorthanded goals on the same penalty as the St. Joseph-Scollard Hall Bears defeated the Widdifield Wildcats 7-3 at Memorial Gardens on Monday afternoon.
Jamie Olivier and Graham Loyst scored shorthanded goals on the same penalty as the St. Joseph-Scollard Hall Bears defeated the Widdifield Wildcats 7-3 at Memorial Gardens on Monday afternoon.

Olivier and Loyst scored their shorthanded goals 34 seconds apart near the midway point of the third period when the score was only 4-3 before the crucial penalty kill.

The Loyst shorthanded goal was his third of the game for the Bears while singles went to Matt Pepin, Olivier and Peterson.

Justin Huycke scored twice for the Wildcats. Alain Pouliot scored the other Cats goal.
