Battalion douse Firebirds in Showcase finale

BUFFALO, NY - The North Bay Battalion spread the scoring around, as the North Bay squad used six different goal scorers en route to a  6-1 win over the Flint Firebirds to wrap up their OHL Pre-Season Showcase with a 2-0-1 record.

Brett McKenzie and Daniel Walker each had a goal and an assist while Brad Chenier chipped in with two helpers.

Goaltenders Mat Woroniuk and Julian Sime combined to turn aside 33 of the 34 shots they faced.

Rookie Firebirds goaltender Luke Cavalin, the top goaltender taken in this summer's OHL Priority Selection, stopped 31 of the 37 shots he faced. 

Justin Brazeau, Cam Dineen, Alex Robert and Luke Burghardt also scored for North Bay while Hakon Nilsen provided the lone goal for Flint.
