Bantam girls bring home the gold

The North Bay Bantam Girls Hockey Team took home the gold in the Toronto Aeros Future Stars Annual Tournament this past weekend in Toronto.

They went 2-1 in the round robin which placed them second in their pool.

Scores were 4-1 over Barrie; 1-0 defeat against Durham West, and a 6-0 win over Whitby.

In the semis, they met the first place team in Pool B and beat a strong team from Uxbridge 3-0.

In the finals, they met a very strong team from Mississauga and won a close battle 1-0.
