STURGEON FALLS - The Nipissing Alouettes jumped out to an early 5-0 lead but ran into a hot goalie, Maxime Boucher, who replaced starter Tommy Gaudet to hold on to a 5-3 victory over the Ville-Marie Dragons in GMHL action on Friday night at the Sturgeon Falls Arena.

André Leclair was once again solid for the Als scoring twice and adding two helpers. Robin Mendelsohn, Jordan Presseault and Steven Garcia also scored for the winners. Ryan Longchamp, Shayne Desrochers and Jason Nault scored for the Dragons.

Matt Perry earned the win in goal for the Als stopping 19 shots.

Gaudet took the loss stopping 17 shots before being relieved by Boucher who stopped all 36 shots he saw.

Next action for the Alouettes is next Friday as they host the Ontario Lightning Rams at the Sturgeon Falls Arena. Game time is 8pm.
