Alouettes holding mini-camp in North Bay

The Nipissing Alouettes will be holding a mini-camp at Pete Palangio Arena in North Bay on Wednesday, July 30th. The first session will go from 12:15 p.m. to 1:45 p.m. and the second from 9:15 p.m. to 10:45 p.m.

The Nipissing Alouettes will be holding a mini-camp at Pete Palangio Arena in North Bay on Wednesday, July 30th. The first session will go from 12:15 p.m. to 1:45 p.m. and the second from 9:15 p.m. to 10:45 p.m. Players interested can fill out this form and email it to GM Denis Champagne at [email protected]. Cost for both sessions is $50.

Als looking for Midget aged players for tourney

The Alouettes are also trying to ice a prospects team to play in a Canlan Ice tournament in Toronto. The tournament will be held on the August 8th weekend. Again, all players interested in playing in the tournament of attending one of the camps have to fill out the registration form that can be found at www.nipissingalouettes.com.

The Als have already committed to 10 players for the upcoming season.

The Alouettes first three selections in the 2008 spring draft, Greg Hyde, Brett De Lorenzi and Steve Garcia have already committed to the team. Another player, Robin Mendelsohn recently played for the bronze medal winning Team Canda Under-18 entry in the World Junior Olympics roller hockey tournament in Philadelphia. The management team says they are very pleased with the composition of the team so far and the next few camps will help round out the team which should make for a very competitive squad come September.
