Alouettes hammer the Shield

The Nipissing Alouettes continued their three game home winning streak with their second straight convincing win over the South Muskoka Shield Wednesday night as the Alouettes blasted the South Muskoka Shield 8-2.

Newly signed Lance McMahon, a North Bay native who played with the Trappers two seasons ago, scored twice and added an assist in his debut.

Rylan Henley, Dan Mitchell, Niko Tonello, Lance Michaud, Matt Lathem and Aaron Godon also scored for the Alouettes. Stephane Belanger had three assists. Als goalie Justin Longchamps earned the win making 11 saves.

Dylan Cote and Ryan Cain scored for the Shield.

The Alouettes now have a few days off until Sunday when they head to Bradford to play the GMHL leading Rattlers.
