The Nipissing Alouettes picked four members of the 2006-2007 Kapuskasing Flyers of the Great North Midget League during the Greater Metro Junior Hockey League's second annual draft which took place near Shelbourne, Ontario on the weekend.

With their first selection, second overall, the Als scooped up Fort Frances High School forward Kyle Turgeon. With their second pick they chose goalie Tristan Jones from the Armstrong Junior A Sharks, a franchise with the non-sanctioned Junior "A" league based out of Western Canada.

In the third round the Als went for another forward in the form of Justin Lepage of the Nepean Raiders AA's.

In the fourth they stayed closer to hope picking Valley East Cobra AA forward Eric Belanger.

The Als grabbed a handful of Great North Midget League players in the next few rounds including defenceman Nathen Lepage from the Kirkland Lake 87's and then they grabbed a trio from the Kapuskasing Flyers as they added Alain Della-Pieta, goaltender Ryley Nadon, and Sylvain Levesque.

Della-Pieta led the Flyers in scoring last season with 14 goals and 17 assists in 36 regular season games.

With their last three picks the Als took South Porcupine Midget A defenceman Chris Secore, Billings Bulls Jr. B forward Rusty Rowe and rounded out the draft with Kapuskasing Flyers forward Drew Nadon.

Drew Nadon, the twin brother of Ryley selected earlier in the draft by the Als, led the Flyers in goals last year with 18.
