Alouettes big third

The Nipissing Alouettes broke open a scoreless tie after 40 minutes with 7 goals in the final frame - including 5 in a span of 5 minutes - en route to a 7-4 victory over the Elliot Lake Bobcats in Elliot Lake on Friday night.

Andre LeClair continued to build on his Greater Metro Jr. 'A' scoring lead with 2 goals and 3 assists. Paul Traynor also had a pair for the Alouettes with singles going to Robin Mendelsohn, Dan Madigan, and Justin Huycke.

The Alouettes will begin the playoffs next weekend as they host a pair of games to start the best-of-five North Division quarter-finals against the Oro Medonte 77's.
