A King size victory for the Royals

The Temiscaming Royals returned to GMHL action Saturday night visiting the Espanola Kings, and came home with a 8-3 win. The Royals led the game right from the start, 3-0 after the first and 6-1 after two periods.

Royals scorers were Corey Raymond and Stephane Gunner each with 2 goals and 2 assists. Other goals came from the sticks of Corey Marquardt, Shane Desrochers, Guillaume Brisebois and newcomer Tim Revell getting his first goal as a Royal along with one assist.

Bryan Lawson collected the win in goal. Shane Buckley was tagged with the loss.

Goals for the Kings were by Joey Rosenberg with a pair and Jake Gilbert.

The Royals will host the same Kings Sunday afternoon at 2:30 p.m. at the Centre to complete the home and home series.
