HAPPY ST. PATRICK’S DAY

Please Drink Responsibly

(North Bay, On)
Every year, people celebrate St. Patrick’s day to remember the patron saint of Ireland. This is usually a joyous occasion that is enjoyed by everyone in the world which includes wearing the shamrock icon, eating good food and consuming alcohol.

The North Bay OPP would like to remind you that if you choose to consume alcohol, ‘Please Drink Responsibly’.
Be aware that officers will be out checking for drinking and driving offences.

Remember that your driver’s licence is immediately suspended for 90 days if you are found to be impaired by alcohol. If you are convicted and this is your first offence, you will loose your licence to drive for one year and will be subject to a substantial fine. Following the one year suspension, you will have at least another year with an ignition interlock devise installed (at your expense) as a remedial measure when your driver’s licence is reinstated. But, if you are not caught and you take the chance and you are impaired, a collision can occur. You will end up paying with someone’s life or your own.

Please consider your loved ones and avoid a tragedy by taking a cab; utilizing a designated driver; or, celebrating at home.
