Mattawa OPP have charged a man, who is currently in custody at the North Bay jail, with several charges in connection with area break-ins and thefts this past May.
Mattawa OPP have charged a man, who is currently in custody at the North Bay jail, with several charges in connection with area break-ins and thefts this past May.

Arthur Baxter, 37, of no fixed address, has been charged with break and enter, theft under $5,000, breach of probation, and several counts of possession of stolen property after a lengthy investigation by Mattawa authorities.

Baxter is charged in connection with a break-in that occurred at Gingras Corriveau Ltd., Papineau Cameron Township, May 21st; a break-in that occurred at 179 Earl’s Lake Road, Papineau Cameron Township, reported on May 22nd; and, a theft of an all terrain vehicle (ATV) from the same residence reported on May 26.

Police have recovered some stolen property including the ATV. Baxter is in custody facing other charges laid by the North Bay Police Service.
