POLICE SEEK ASSISTANCE IN VEHICLE ARSON

North Bay OPP were dispatched to a car fire early Monday morning (August 2nd, 2004) at the end of MacPherson Drive, East Ferris, Ontario. Police suspect arson.

A gray 1990 Toyota pick-up was parked in the parking area located at the end of MacPherson drive. Shortly after 4:00 a.m., someone deliberately set fire to this vehicle. East Ferris Volunteer Fire Department responded and no one was injured during the incident. The owner of the pick-up was camping on Trout Lake at the time. Two other vehicles, parked near by, were broken into and ransacked. Police are seeking the publicís assistance regarding this arson and mischief to vehicles.
