Report of possible impaired leads to charges MATTAWA – On October 13, 2015, at approximately 5 p.m., Mattawa Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) received a call of a possible impaired driver on Highway 17 in Papineau-Cameron Township.

MATTAWA – On October 13, 2015, at approximately 5 p.m., Mattawa Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) received a call of a possible impaired driver on Highway 17 in Papineau-Cameron Township. 

The vehicle was located and stopped and, upon further investigation, the driver, Andre CARLE, age 57 of Golden Lake First Nations, Ontario, was arrested and charged with

  • Driving Motor Vehicle While Ability Impaired, contrary to section 253(1)(a)
  • Driving with More than 80 mgs. of Alcohol in Blood, contrary to section 253(1)(b) of the Criminal Code of Canada.

The accused was released from police custody and is scheduled to appear at the Ontario Court of Justice in Mattawa on November 4, 2015.
