(Nipissing, Ontario)
The North Bay OPP Marine Unit were dispatched on to Lake Nipissing at approximately 4:30 p.m. on Sunday June 27, 2004 after two fisherman were reported missing from Hunter’s Bay Marina, Nipissing, Ontario.
Both men were taking part in a fish derby.

James Patry, 56, and 23-year-old Joel Daoust, both of Chelmsford, Ontario, were located safe and sound by Gordon Hincks of Hunters Bay Marina shortly after 7:00 p.m.
Their 20-foot Stratus 201 Bass Boat struck waves causing it to take on water. The North Bay OPP Marine Unit who were searching the area, were second on scene. The stranded vessel was located west of Duck Island which is near the north side of Sandy Island on Lake Nipissing.

The OPP Helicopter, which is based out of Sudbury, assisted on the search.
