WOOD, John Merle

(1932-2016) – With somber hearts the family of John Merle Wood announce his sudden passing at Nipissing Manor on July 24, 2016. He was a loving father to Cindy (Dean) Church, beloved Grandfather to Lara (Shane Christie) and Leesa (Daniel) Weber and brother to Robert (Bev) Wood. John was predeceased by his wife Joan, sister Gwen Holmes and loyal canine buddy, Benny. A memorial visitation will be held on Wednesday July 27, 2016 at HILLSIDE FUNERAL SERVICES, 362 Airport Rd, from 3 until 5 pm. A celebration of life will be held afterwards for family and friends. Donations in memory of John can be made to: West Ferris Minor Hockey Association or Nipissing Serenity Hospice.
