After a long, full life Les Whittaker died peacefully in his sleep in his 103rd year on Tuesday, October 4, 2005 at Eastholme, Powassan. Les was predeceased by his wife Mabel E. (Crosbie). He was the loving father of Keith (the late Elaine) of Powassan, Jim (Betty) of Dartmouth, Nova Scotia, Lloyd (Fay) of Grimsby, and Mary (Bob Heasman) of Powassan. Les was the proud grandfather of 11 grandchildren, 17 great-grandchildren, and predeceased by one great-grandchild. The family will receive visitors at the Paul Funeral Home, today, Friday, October 7, from 2:00 to 4:00 and 7:00 to 9:00 p.m. The funeral service will be held on Saturday, October 8, 2005 at 11:00 a.m in St. Mary's Church, Powassan.
