Roy Wesley passed away peacefully at the North Bay Regional Health Centre on Wednesday, December 21, 2022, with family by his side and after a long disabling illness and pneumonia. He leaves behind his wife Barbara and two stepsons Robin (Tana) O’Connell and Geoffrey O’Connell. He also leaves his daughter Kelly (Mike Class) and their children Athena and Trent and his daughter Patty Krawec (Gary) and their sons Ben, Max and Sam and great grandson Charlie. He was an ardent fan of the Toronto Maple Leafs, the Blue Jays, the Argonauts and the Raptors. Roy was a dedicated member of the Royal Canadian Legion, Branch #23 and rose to the rank of Zone Commander for Zone H-2 until the debilitating paralysis of his legs and hands left him in a wheelchair. Roy’s family would like to offer their thanks to the hospital staff on 3D for their wonderful care of Roy, a big thank you to Dr. Kistemaker for her dedication and compassion and a thank you to Basic Cremation Services for their dedicated care. This summer, at Lac Seul First Nation, near Sioux Lookout, Roy will be buried with his brothers and parents.

Arrangements entrusted to Martyn Funeral Home.
