The Walsh Family announces with sorrow the death of Mrs Doris Walsh of Haileybury. Mrs Walsh passed away suddenly at Temiskaming Hospital on Sunday, September 17, 2006 at the age of 86 years. Born July 16, 1920 to the late Donat Desjardins and Marie Rose Ayotte. She was predeceased by her loving husband Earl Walsh on November 30, 1994.
Mrs. Walsh had been a Haileybury resident for most of her adult life and had been a member of the Catholic Womens League. She currently made her home at the Tri Town Extendicare Nursing Home in Haileybury where she had spent many years as a volunteer. She will be remembered as a devoted mother and grandmother.
Mrs. Walsh is survived by her loving children: Velma [and Gerry] Culhane of Haileybury, Sharon [and Rick] Furnival of Toronto, Denis [and Donna] Walsh of St Thomas, Peter [and Mary Jane] Walsh of North Bay, Rick [and Judy] Walsh of Haileybury, Susan Ledderhof of Haileybury, Julie [and Steven] Seiler of Komoka and Janice [and Jean Francois] Bonal of Green Bay, Wisconsin. Also left to mourn are twenty grandchildren and many great- grandchildren.
The Walsh Family will receive friends at the BUFFAM LEVEILLE FUNERAL HOME - Haileybury [705-672- 3122] on Tuesday, September 19, 2006 from 2: to 4: p.m. and 7: to 9: p.m. Funeral mass will be celebrated at Our Mother of Perpetual Help Church - New Liskeard on Wednesday, September 20, 2006 at 11:00 a.m. Father John Lemire officiating. Interment will follow in the family plot at the New Liskeard Catholic Cemetery. Memorial contributions to the Heart and Stroke Foundation will be gratefully acknowledged.
