WALLACE, Duncan

Posted

The death occurred at the Sudbury Regional Hospital on Friday, May 26, of Duncan Wallace, at the age of 48 years. His wife Jane and sons Michael and John Duncan will love and miss him always, as will his mother Mary, late father Ernie, sisters Barb (Gord McCloskey), Gail (Glenn Rowlandson) and brother John (Nina); father- and mother-in-law Jim and Burnie Walker, sister-in-law Laura (Frank Empey) and brothers-in-law John (Laura) and Peter (Tracy). He will also be sadly missed by his many aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces and nephews. Duncan was known and appreciated for his dry sense of humour and quick wit. Curling and golfing were his passions, as anyone who knew him can attest, and he always made sure his yard was tidy, his driveway was clean and his car was spotless. Duncan was a much-loved friend to many, young and old alike.

A celebration of Duncan's life will be held on Tuesday, May 30, at the Englehart Community Hall, from 2 to 5 p.m. Everyone is welcome. In lieu of flowers, contributions to the North Eastern Ontario Regional Cancer Centre or the charity of your choice would be much appreciated by the family. A private memorial service will be held for family members and close friends on Duncan's birthday, June 26, at the Englehart Cemetary. Honourary pallbearers are John Thib, Bill Plaunt, Gord Louttit and Mike Fawcett. Duncan couldn't have asked for better friends. We would like to thank everyone for their prayers, love and support during the past weeks. Duncan knows how much he was loved and considered himself a very lucky man.
