Life long Eau Claire resident Earl "Bud" Wall died peacefully at the Mattawa General Hospital on Friday October 10, 2008 at the age of 75 years and with his family at his side. For the past 54 years Bud has been the beloved husband of Ida Whalley. The proud and loving father of Emily Raymond (Thomas), Gregory (Gisele), all of Bonfield, Donna Wall (Craig Storie) of Powassan, Thomas (Lynne) of Calvin Township, Peter (Cathy) of Mattawa and Randy of Eau Claire, Bud will also be lovingly remembered by his grandchildren Chantal, Marc, Neil, Nicole, Nathan, Sarah, Kyle, Blake, Jennifer, Jessie, Brianna and Shannon and his two great grandchildren Brook-Lynn and Austin. Predeceased by his sister Faye, he is also survived by his nephews Bert and Barry Robinson. Bud's working life was spent farming in Eau Claire and then later in the trucking industry. He excelled at ploughing, winning several competitions in his younger years. Friends may call at the Martyn Sloan Mattawa Chapel on Monday from 2 - 4 & 7 - 9 pm. Funeral services to celebrate his life will be held in the Mattawa United Church at 11:00 am on Tuesday October 14, 2008. Cremation will follow with interment of his ashes in the Calvin Township Cemetery. If desired donations to the Heart & Stroke Fund will be gratefully acknowledged as expressions of sympathy.
