Peacefully at his home in Callander on Thursday, December 31st, 2015. Bill was the beloved husband of Mary Christina (nee Gamble) and the late Dorothy Jean (nee Ross), he was 88 years old. Loving father of Sue Love (John Trussler) of North Bay, John Walker and his wife Wanda of Corbeil, Bill Walker Jr. And his wife Veronica of Richmond Hill and Mary’s sons Donald Corriveau and is wife Louise of Cobalt and Marcel Corriveau and his wife Carolyn of North Bay. He will be lovingly remembered by his grandchildren Jodi (Brent), John (Lisa), Tom, Candice, Kelly (Marc), Tracy (Brad), Katie (Marc), Jamie (Caralee), Nick (Ashley), Paola, Gabriela, Sofia, Adam, Nicole (Tomas) and by his 16 great grandchildren.  Bill was predeceased by his parents Angel (nee Gauthier) Walker and John Walker and by siblings Jack (during WW11), Amanda, Amelia and Ronald, and is survived by his sister in law Dorie Walker. Bill was a licensed Tinsmith/ Plumber & Pipe Fitter. He work in many construction jobs around North Bay and across Ontario. He completed his work career was a Pipefitter in the car shop with the Ontario Northland Railway.  Bill’s life revolved around his family, and was happiest when surrounded by his many grandchildren and great grandchildren. He loved to share his love of nature with his family, and his hunting trips. Bill was a very active member of the Masonic Lodge 420, the Rorab Shrine Club and the Royal Canadian Legion Branch #23. Visitation will be held in the Martyn Funeral Home on Wednesday, January 6th from 7-9 and Thursday from 12noon until time for a Celebration of Bill’s life in the Martyn Funeral Home Chapel at 2:00 PM. Cremation has taken place with interment of ashes in the Terrace Lawn Cemetery in the Spring of 2016. If desired, donations to the Shriners Hospitals for Children would be appreciated by his family.
