She was predeceased by her parents, John and Catherine Doyle, two sisters, Mary and Lyla and two brothers, Earl and Edward. She is survived by one brother, Jack of North Bay. Carmel attended St. Mary's Academy and St. Rita's School. She worked for a time in Toronto at the bank but returned to North Bay to work at the bus terminal until her marriage. Carmel was a stay at home Mom, much to the delight of her children to whom she was very devoted. She was very active in her church, Corpus Christi for fifty years. In her early years she was a charter member of the Catholic Womens' League, being the first president of this league. Carmel's greatest love was her family and enjoyed many parties and get togethers with them. She was an ardent card and bingo player. She also enjoyed ceramics.
