Bea passed away peacefully the morning of Monday, December 5th, 2022, with the love of her family surrounding her.

Bea was born in Heaslip, Ontario in 1938 to John and Mary. She met and would marry the love of her life Ernest at a very young age. They had 5 children and one foster son.

Numerous grand children and great grand children followed and every one of them held a special place in her heart.

Mama Bear was the BEST mom and homemaker first and foremost with a variety of other less important jobs along the way.  Her family always came first and she lived her life full of grace, kindness and compassion.  She rarely spoke a mean word and everyone that was privileged to meet her, loved her.

She and dad would travel and enjoy many adventures in their 67 years together and she had many hobbies. She always had time for her children and she cherished the friendships that she found along the way, especially with her neighbours Bob & Fran.

She will be missed by her husband of 67 years, Ernie; children, John, Ernie Jr. (Christine), Donna (Barrie), James, Teri (Jim), Ivan (Doreen); Her siblings Isabelle, Jackie, Irene, Pat (Rejeanne), John (Michele); as well as her beloved grandchildren-Dustin, Derrick, Darwin, Melissa, Jessica, Kevin, Ali, Stephen and Jonathon and great grand children, nieces, nephews, extended family members and friends.

The family would like to acknowledge the whole Care Team Family at the Algonquin Nursing Home. These folks have been Mom’s extended family for the past 6 years and we are grateful to them for their wonderful care and for loving her and being there for her along this part of her journey.

We would also like to thank Dr. MacTavish, Dr. Redhead and all of the staff at the Mattawa General Hospital for their kindness and care while she was there.

A Celebration of Mom’s Life will be held next summer, details to be announced.

Memorial donations may be made to the Algonquin Nursing Home. Arrangements entrusted to Basic Cremation Services.
